The tourist information office in Léré promotes six villages - Sury près Léré, Léré, Boulleret, bordering both the Loire and the canal, as well as Sainte Gemme-en-Sancerrois, Savigny-en-Sancerre and Santranges, nestling in the 'Pays Fort' hills.
These villages represent a small area, on the borders of Berry and Burgundy, right in the middle of France, two hours away from Paris.
